The archipelago between Stockholm and Helsinki, thousands of islands scattered in the Baltic Sea, is a wonderful area to slowly cruise through. This tour will give you opportunities to see the archipelago in the Baltic Sea as well as get to know the Finnish capital with a unique mixture of Scandinavian and Eastern culture.

 

Specified itinerary

 

Day 1 (Saturday evening)

Departure from the hotel for a transfer to the boat terminal

Dine, wine, dance and stroll the deck while you travel through the archipelago

Dinner and overnight on board

 

Day 2 (Sunday)

Breakfast on board and arrival to Helsinki. The day will be spent in Helsinki starting with a guided tour of the city including lunch. Afternoon is free for individual activities. Helsinki both provides good opportunities for shopping and for cultural attractions such as e.g. different art museums.

 

Dinner and overnight on board

 

Day 3 (Monday)

Breakfast buffet and arrival to Stockholm approximately 10:00.

- Transfer to Silja Line terminal

- Overnight stay in A-class cabin Stockholm-Helsinki-Stockholm

- 3 hour sightseeing in Helsinki including lunch

- 2 breakfasts on board

Adventure tour to Northern lapland

Lapland, the province of the Artic Circle, is considered the last real wilderness in Europe. It presents a rare combination of peace and beauty, adventure and excitement. The daylight above the Arctic Circle is wonderful and from May until August there is daylight round the clock. Afternoon departure from Stockholm on Saturday, arrival in Kiruna approximately 90 minutes later. Return flight to Stockholm will leave Kiruna on Monday around noon. Please note that flight times may change and are not definite. From Saturday evening until the departure on Monday, the whole group will enjoy a variety of activities together. All participants will be accommodated at the Hotel Riksgränsen where the two dinners will also be held. The hotel is located along Sweden's most beautiful highway, "Nordkalottvägen", near the Swedish border to Norway.

 

The activities you will experience on your trip include:

- Tour of the historical village of Jukkasjärvi where lunch will be enjoyed at the Inn

- Cable car to a mountaintop (weather permitting)

- Train ride to Katteratt, Norway, where you will begin a long easy trek to the Atlantic fjord of Rombakk. Lunch in the open air.

- Boat trip from Rombakksbotn to Narvik in Norway

- Visit to the famous mountain photographer Sven Hörnell's studio and view his slide show presentation of the Lapland seasons

- Visit the home and reindeers of a Laplander, Anders Kuhmunen, at Rensjön. Here you will have a lunch typical of the area and hear about the history and culture of the Saami people.

- Airport transfers Stockholm - Arlanda Airport, Arlanda Airport - Stockholm

- Airfare Stockholm - Kiruna - Stockholm

- Ground transports in Lapland
