All participants are invited to submit an abstract, maximum one page. If figures and tables are included a second page can be used.
The topics for the First International Congress on Gerontological/Geriatric Audiology (1st ICGA) - Stockholm, Sweden, June 6-9, 2004 are focused on the many different aspects of Audiological/Communicative problems in the Elderly.
- Physiological and morphological aspects
- Psychological consequences and rehabilitation
- Hearing aids and assisting hearing devices
- Gerontological aspects of communication
- Epidemiology of age-related hearing loss
- Cognition and central processing
- Tinnitus in old age
- Cochlear implants in old age
- Balance disorders with increasing age
- Others

The abstract deadline is January 15th, 2004 (date of receipt).
The corresponding author will be noticed of the committee´s decision on the submitted abstracts by February/March, 2004.
The abstract should be
submitted on-line
according to the
instructions.
Please note that the abstract will not be edited in any way.
Accepted abstracts will be printed (format A5) in an abstract book and/or on a CD-ROM.

Abstract Instructions
- The abstract must be prepared in Microsoft Word (version Word 95 or higher) and saved as a PDF-file if possible.
- The abstract should be written in English and should be single-spaced throughout.
- The abstract should be written with type face Times and the font format should be 12.
- Maximum one page, if figures and tables are included a second page can be used, size A4 (i.e. 210 x 297 mm) with 2.5 cm margins on all four sides.
- All figures incl. captions should be placed on page two.
- Figures should be saved as GIF or JPEG and must not exceed 600 dpi/figure.
- The abstract must not exceed 1 MB incl. Figures and tables.
- The abstract should be headed by the title, authors(s), affiliations(s), address(es).
- The abstract should also contain telephone number, fax number and e-mail address to the corresponding author.
- Underline the name of the presenting author.
- Begin the text two lines below the last line of the author/affiliation section.
- Abstract submission by ordinary e-mail will not be accepted.
- Abstract should be

- The author is responsible for typing errors in the title and abstract.

Replacing/correcting an abstract submission
Do not resubmit an abstract through the website. If you should have any corrections, please state your name and abstract title, and send a completely new abstract as by e-mail to the abstract secretariat:
icga2004@stocon.se
(this is only valid before January 15th, 2004).
